Podcast: Sharon Shoesmith judicial review; and retirement survey

On this week's XpertHR Weekly, we discuss the high-profile Court of Appeal decision in R (on the application of Shoesmith) v Ofsted and others [2011] EWCA Civ 642 CA, which dealt with the application for judicial review by Sharon Shoesmith, former director of Children's Services for the London Borough of Haringey, of the process by which she was removed from the statutory office of director of Children's Services and summarily dismissed from her employment in that role. We also discuss the findings of the XpertHR 2011 retirement survey.
